Project Management Master/Senior Program
The Project Management Master Program, offered by FemsTech, is a transformative opportunity for women in Afghanistan, providing comprehensive project management education at no cost. Delivered through our Learning Management System, this program spans over 105 hours, divided into five courses across three semesters. Students will engage with videos, quizzes, and readings, culminating in a “Master’s Certificate in Project Management” upon successful completion. The program includes:
Section 1 (19.09.2024 - 19.01.2025): Master Class in Project Management (45 hours). You can complete it as soon as possible but not later than 19.01.2025.
Section 2 (After completing section 1 - 18.05.2025): Quality for Operations and Project Managers (6 hours), Advanced Earned Value Management (23 hours estimated). You can start this section whenever you complete the prior section. You have to complete this section before 18.05.2025.
Section 3 (After completing section 2 - 07.09.2025): PMBOK 7th Edition for CAPM and PMP (23 hours), Final Course Completion and Test (5 hours). You can start this section whenever you complete section 2. You have to complete this section before 07.09.2025.
Courses must be completed sequentially, ensuring a thorough grasp of project management principles and practices.
Project Management Junior Program
Designed to support women in Afghanistan, the Project Management Junior Program offers foundational project management skills through four courses totaling over 40 hours. Accessible for free via our Learning Management System, this program will award a “Junior Certificate in Project Management” upon completion. It includes:
First Section/ Semester 1 (19.09.2024 - 22.12.2024): Project Management Tools and Techniques (21 hours). You can complete it as soon as possible but not later than 22.12.2024.
Second Section/ Semester 2 ( 18.05.2025): Intro to Time Value of Money (6 hours), Fast Track to Quality (4 hours), Fast Track to EVM (4 hours), Final Course Completion and Test (5 hours). You can start this section whenever you complete the prior section. You have to complete this section before 18.05.2025.

We are excited to announce that Rim Amarat, currently completing their master's degree in AI, will share their expertise and experiences in this field. Over the past two years, Rim has been actively involved in a groundbreaking project at the LIA Avignon, focusing on developing a call processing assistant to enhance emergency call handling for firefighters.
In the first year of their project, Rim dedicated their efforts to conceptualizing and developing a proof of concept. They also played a key role in designing and launching a website to showcase and promote the project. Subsequently, Rim delved into testing Automatic Speech Recognition (ASR) on emergency calls, aiming to assess the performance of state-of-the-art ASR systems within the context of emergencies.
Looking ahead, Rim is embarking on a new project involving concept detection and intent recognition in transcriptions of complaint calls. This initiative represents a crucial step towards the development of a context-aware system capable of extracting valuable insights from automatic transcriptions of emergency calls.
The ultimate goal of these endeavors is to ensure that these systems operate in real or pseudo-real time during emergency calls, underscoring the importance of real-time ASR and text processing technologies.

Following the completion of his doctoral studies, he assumed the role of Postdoctoral Researcher at the Okinawa Institute of Science and Technology (OIST), within the Light-Matter Interactions for Quantum Technologies Unit. Dr. Brown's research primarily revolves around the intricate domain of cold atoms within the field of quantum information. Over the course of the past decade, Python has emerged as an indispensable tool, serving as the linchpin for controlling experimental equipment, conducting in-depth data analysis, and facilitating the execution of theoretical calculations for his experiments.
🔬 *Aswathy Raj:*
Aswathy completed her five-year integrated BS-MS course in Physical sciences from IISER Kolkata, India, in 2018. After that, she joined IISER Mohali as a project assistant for one year. Currently, she is working in the Light-Matter interactions for the quantum technologies unit at OIST, Japan, as a PhD student under the supervision of Prof. Sile Nic Chormaic. Her field of research is experimental Atomic Physics, where she works on highly excited Rubidium atoms, their trapping, and manipulation at the interface of an Optical nanofiber. She used Python to analyze and manipulate their experimental data and wishes to contribute her knowledge in Python for Data analysis for research purposes.
🔬 *German Suslin:*
B.S. (2016) and M.S. (2019) in Electronics and Nanotechnology from Far Eastern Federal University, Russia. Former robotics trainer who guided students to top placements in competitions.
Currently, he is a Research Intern in the Light-Matter Interactions for Quantum Technologies unit under the supervision of Prof. Sile Nic Chormaic.
He is integrating his expertise in Computer Vision, Neural Networks, and Data Analysis from beyond academia into his research on magnetic thin films and plasmonic devices.
